On Saturday 27 May 2017, myself and Roland van Dierenconk gave a masterclass ‘Extracting Pigments From Algae’ at WAAG Society. It was busy and a big success! Thanks everybody for coming out in the heat.
In the masterclass we have shown participants what kind of pigments are secluded in algae and how they can be isolated. When the pigments are extracted, we have shown them some applicabilities, like how to use them to make paint or ink.
