At the ‘Fluid Matter’ Special on Wednesday 20 Januari 2017, myself and Federico Muffatto gave a masterclass at MU Artspace.
In this masterclass we showed participants what kind of pigments are secluded in algae and how they can be isolated. When the pigments are extracted, we showed them some applicabilities, like how to use them to make paint or ink. The methods we showed are applicable to organic matter in general, so participants can use their new found knowledge on basically anything mother nature provides.
